The ENOVAL project was presented together with its so-called sister-projects LEMCOTEC and E-BREAK at a shared project booth. Stand visitors were welcomed by the ENOVAL Coordinator Dr. Edgar Merkl (MTU Aero Engines) as well as by Sub-project Leaders from Rolls-Royce UK and Germany. Posters and videos gave the visitors an introduction to ENOVAL objectives and first main achievements. GKN Aerospace composite guide vane, one of the first hardware manufactured in the project framework was displayed on the stand. Furthermore, Dr. Merkl hosted a technical session presenting the research achievments of the project.
“Aerodays is a tremendoulsy important platform for us as top-class stakeholders – aviation industry, research and European Union – are represented here in order to share achievements of collaborative research and innovation in aeronautics and air transport within Europe” stated the ENOVAL Project Coordinator.
Aerodays is the European flagship event in aviation research and innovation which takes place once, during each EU Research Framework Programme. The three day conference, attended by more than 1000 delegates, 280 key speakers and 90 exhibitors included technical sessions, research and technology showcases and hosts from Aviation CEOs, European Commissioners, UK Ministers and heads of key Agencies.
